UofL's online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed for licensed nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent studies who want to earn their BSN, improve patient outcomes and excel as a leader in the field of nursing.
The RN-BSN online degree provides the flexibility you need to balance working full-time with furthering your nursing education. In our program, you can develop your expertise in nursing leadership, meet growing employer expectations and expand your ability to work with diverse global populations in a variety of settings—without any campus requirement or set class times.
UofL’s affordable education trifecta!
- $375 per credit hour – The School of Nursing at the University of Louisville offers a special tuition rate to all registered nurses enrolled in online RN-BSN courses*.
- 30 credit hours tuition-free – complete a Professional Nursing Portfolio and earn credit for your professional experience and field knowledge (saving you $11,250 in tuition cost).
- 31 core credit hours to graduate – complete the required nursing core courses at UofL and graduate with Nursing within 2 years or less.
*Students enrolled in courses outside of the RN-BSN online program pay the standard tuition rate. Full tuition remission is available for UofL Health-affiliated nurses. Inquire for details!

We recommend you work on and submit your complete application well in advance of the preferred deadline, as obtaining transcripts and other materials may take more time.

Concurrent Enrollment Options
Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS) and Ivy Tech Students working toward their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) can now earn their RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing in less time by taking RN-BSN courses at the University of Louisville (UofL) while enrolled at their local KCTCS or Ivy Tech school.
Attend UofL as a non-degree seeking (continuing studies) student while completing your ADN.

Students who are Licensed Practical Nurses and who have successfully enrolled in their first semester at a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) or Ivy Tech school, are now eligible to enroll in UofL’s concurrent RN-to-BSN online curriculum, which can help them graduate in as few as three years.
