The Master of Science in Sport Administration is accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
The College of Education and Human Development's Sport Administration program at the University of Louisville prepares students for a variety of management positions in the sport industry. The goals of the faculty and the program are to create an active learning environment for each student and to encourage students to demonstrate a commitment to education, community involvement, and their fellow students. A strong foundation in education, community service, peer networks, and alumni networks is invaluable to students as they prepare to enter the sport industry. Exceptional theoretical and practical knowledge gained through the Sport Administration Program will also provide students with the foundation to become the next generation of leaders, decision makers, and managers in the sport industry.
All students admitted to the in-person MS in SPAD program are required to take at least 8 of their 11 courses in person.

Admission Requirements
Application requirements:

- Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate coursework completed. Only institutionally accredited bachelor’s degrees will be considered. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent by the issuing institution to the UofL Graduate School directly. Transcripts issued to the student are considered unofficial.

Admission Requirements:
- Completed application (including all checklist items) to be holistically reviewed
- Interview (Recorded virtual interview required with application materials)
- Unconditional admission requires a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 for all undergraduate coursework taken. Cumulative undergraduate GPAs ranging from 2.5 to 2.74 will be considered for conditional admission on a case-by-case basis.
- Conferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required for unconditional admission. Applicants in their final year of their bachelors degree with final courses being completed before the graduate program start, can be reviewed for probationary admission pending a final transcript showing degree conferral by the end of the first semester.
- Admission is competitive. Meeting the GPA minimum and all other admission requirements does not guarantee that prospective students will be accepted into the program.

Exit Requirement
To complete the program, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. No credit shall be accepted for carrying a grade lower than C (no C-minus).
