FAFSA - Filing the Application Form
The cornerstone of the financial aid process is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Filing the FAFSA can help determine your eligibility for need-based federal student aid.
The UofL school code you’ll need when filing the FAFSA is 001999.
New and returning UofL students: complete your University of Louisville financial aid application as early as possible to account for possible additional steps such as verification and to maximize your potential aid.
- As soon as FAFSA opens: check if FAFSA is available on the Federal Student Aid website.
- Early July: remember the priority deadline for complete submission of University of Louisville financial aid file to be considered for funding.
After completing the FAFSA, complete your financial aid file by reviewing your ULink To Do List, reporting other aid sources and submitting any additional forms necessary, such as tuition waivers or work-study request forms.
